these small tools have been made by me through the years.
some are very old (hyphbg is from 1991), some are very new;
some are much used (vcs, qini, eee), some were much used (cc/mdep.pl), ...

my minimal set are (see 0/):
 vcs/vcs.sh as two links : 'v' as general and 'u' for update only
 vcs/colorvcs.py ; vcs/uall.sh
 text/archiv as two links : 'vv' for viewing and 'xx' for extracting
 text/chall.pl		: replaces regexps and overwrites files
 filedir/rename.pl
 filedir/fff.sh		: tamed find
 filedir/fcdir.sh	: compare dirs
 eee/ stuff + iw.py=net/wireless.py
 pkg/aptaliases		: apt*/dpkg simplified
 codec/*			: text encodings, formats etc
 foto/jpgoptmz.sh foto/fit2print.py foto/indexer.sh for photo-camera-images
 audiovideo/sumtim2.py audiovideo/filmid.sh

and of course, should have i started with it,
 qini/
which gives me same My keys and commands "interface" to several 
shells and vim, on maaaany terminals+machines...
